Why they cancelled the Dakar

Although this isn’t specific to Formula 1, it is one of the great automobile races in the world. As reported at Grandprix.com, and every other outlet, The Dakar Rally has been canceled this year. The Dakar Rally has been cancelled because of an attack that took place on five French tourists on December 24 and threats that had been made against the rally as well.
